Lexington, KY- June 3, 2010 - The $40,000 Kentucky Summer Grand Prix has been rescheduled for Sunday, August 1, 2010. The class will get underway at 6:00 p.m. in the Main Stadium. This change has been made to better accommodate the 2010 Adequan FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Championships Presented by Gotham North will run concurrently to the Kentucky Summer Horse Show.

The world-class Kentucky Summer Horse Show will be held from July 28-August 1, 2010, with the top horses and riders competing for top prizes. Entries for this horse show will close on Tuesday, June 29, 2010.
 
In addition to the $40,000 Kentucky Summer Grand Prix, the best jumper riders in the world will have the chance to compete during the $25,000 Hagyard Lexington Classic. This class will be the third event in the Hagyard Challenge Series. The rider who accumulates the most points throughout the five-class series will be presented with the $50,000 Leading Rider Award.

 
The Kentucky Summer Horse Shows will be hosted at the beautiful Kentucky Horse Park because it attracts the nations best competitors, it offers wonderful competition venues, excellent stabling, plenty of exercise rings and spacious places to ride, miles of trails, and lush cross country fields. The Kentucky Horse Park's world-class facility will also be site of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™, commencing just a few short weeks after the Kentucky Summer Horse Shows

The Kentucky Horse Show LLC's 2010 series includes six weeks of top competition throughout the spring and summer. These premier hunter/jumper competitions feature a USEF 5* Jumper Rating and a "AA" Hunter rating. The Kentucky Horse Show Series is the host of the Hagyard Challenge Series with five grand prix competitions that culminate with a Leading Rider Award.

Ring Dimensions/Specs:
The Stonelea Ring, Murphy Ring, Walnut Ring, Stonelea/Murphy Schooling Ring, the New Indoor Arena and the Main Outdoor Stadium have Otto Sport footing consisting of fine sand and synthetic fibre on pvc mats. The Claiborne, Annex, and Covered Arena (old) rings' footing consists of a sand cushion on limestone base. The dimensions of the competition areas are as follows:
