 Lexington, KY – August 18, 2010 – Cool breezes and slightly overcast skies greeted the Bluegrass Festival Horse Show, currently held at the Kentucky Horse Park. The month-long series of Kentucky Summer Horse Shows will be brought to a close this Sunday, August 22, 2010. The professional hunters competed skillfully today as they prepare for the $100,000 USHJA Hunter Derby Finals being held August 20 - 21, 2010.

 Lexington, KY- August 15, 2010 – The last day of the 2010 United States Equestrian Federation Pony Finals National Championships was marked by a mix of sun and rain, but that did not slow down the exciting competition in the Covered Arena. The EquiSport Insurance/USEF Pony Medal Finals was the last phase of the week, and after a two-horse hack-off it was Isabelle Caccamise and Better Than Good earning the Gold Medal and a $500 gift certificate from Oakcroft.

 Lexington, KY- August 14, 2010 – Saturday was another hot and humid day at the Kentucky Horse Park as junior riders competed in day five of 2010 United States Equestrian Federation Pony Finals National Championships. The Large Pony Hunter over fences class started out this morning’s competition with 102 entries to compete over Bobby Murphy’s course in the Walnut Arena. Riders competed in reverse order of the point standings after the model and under saddle phases.

 Lexington, KY – August 13, 2010 – It was another hot day at the Kentucky Horse Park but that did not slow down the exciting competition at the 2010 United States Equestrian Federation Pony Finals National Championships. The top ponies and riders gathered at the Walnut Ring to showcase their talent. The pony action began with the Large Pony Hunter model and under saddle phases, and was followed soon after by Medium Pony Hunter over fences phase to determine the grand championship and reserve grand championship titles. The day rounded out with the second phase of the Individual Jumping, which included the Team Competition.

Lexington, KY - August 18, 2010 - Cooler climates welcomed competitors to the first day of the 2010 Bluegrass Festival Horse Show at the Kentucky Horse Park. While the highlights of the week include the $100,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby Finals and the $50,000 CSI-W Haygard Lexington Classic, the first day brought its own excitement when Antonio Maurer scored a one-two finish in the first 1.40m Open Jumpers class of the week. Merely looking for a warm up class for the upcoming events later in the week, Maurer’s two promising jumpers seem to be on their A-game.
